They do not believe that the women are equal to men, and they do not want to grant them any rights, especially not to be educated. Since Malala went all public and the international community reacted to it, the Taliban immediately did what they do best, destroy everything against their beliefs. They launched terrorist attacks on over 150 schools, totally destroying them, and killing lot of children in the process, all with the purpose to stop the education process.
