How to determine if an article is appropriate for research

Answers

Answer 1
Check the sources to be sure it is reliable
Answer 2
Okay so an appropriate article would be a reliable one.
            - A reliable source will have other websites cited, or it will be a well known place like a scientific magazine, government websites, or Newspaper.
An appropriate article will also have at least 3 points you can use in your writing. Even if they are small things.
Also if the sight is using formal writing, by someone who knows what they are talking about. (again like a scientific magazine written by a biologist) This means websites like "Answers" or "Yahoo answers" are not appropriate or reliable.

Hopefully this helps if you need more help let me know - or if you want me to look at the site I can do that as well if you give me the link.

We brought the ducks and geese small pieces of bread. What is the direct and indirect object in the sentence

Answers

Final answer:

The sentence 'We brought the ducks and geese small pieces of bread' contains 'small pieces of bread' as the direct object because it is what is being brought, and 'the ducks and geese' as the indirect object because they are the recipients of the bread.

Explanation:

To determine the direct and indirect objects in the sentence 'We brought the ducks and geese small pieces of bread,' first, we need to find the subject and the verb. The subject of the sentence is 'we,' and the verb is 'brought,' which is a transitive verb because it is an action that is being done to something or someone else. The direct object is what is being acted upon directly by the verb, which in this case is 'small pieces of bread' because that is what is being brought. The indirect object is who or what is receiving the direct object, and here it is 'the ducks and geese' because they are the recipients of the small pieces of bread.

Answers

Answer:

A and B

Explanation:

Earth hath swallow’d all my hopes but she,

She is the hopeful lady of my earth

The lines from the excerpt that support the inference that Capulet loves his daughter are: Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she, She is the hopeful lady of my earth, Such as I love; and you, among the store and  One more, most welcome, makes my number more.

These lines reveal Capulet's deep affection for his daughter. When he says Earth hath swallowâed all my hopes but she, he is indicating that she is his last remaining hope, suggesting a special place she holds in his heart. The phrase She is the hopeful lady of my earth further emphasizes her importance to him, as she is described as the source of hope for his future. Additionally, when Capulet speaks to Paris about the guests he has invited, saying Such as I love; and you, among the store, he includes his daughter among those he loves, which implies a familial love. Lastly, One more, most welcome, makes my number more shows that he values his daughter's presence and considers her an integral part of his life, as her addition to the guest list is significant to him. These lines collectively demonstrate Capulet's love for his daughter.

Which statement is true?

A.
The problem-and-solution organizational structure is used to describe how one event results in another.

B.
The cause-and-effect organizational structure is used to identify a problem and present a potential solution.

C.
A list is used when a series of ideas, facts, or details are arranged in a particular order.

D.
The compare-and-contrast organizational structure is used to examine similarities and differences between two subjects.

Answers

It would most likely be D.

The correct answer is D. The compare-and-contrast organizational structure is used to examine similarities and differences between two subjects.

Explanation:

In writing, there are different organizational structures or patterns that can be used for organizing details in texts and each one differs in terms of purpose and organization. In the case of problem-and-solution this presents one problematic situation and then solutions to it; in the case of cause-and-effect this is used to present the events or effects that are caused by another event; in the case of lists this presents details or ideas that do not necessarily have a strict organization and in the case of compare-and-contrast essay this analyzes the differences and similarities between two elements that belong to the same category.

Considering this, the only statement that is correct because it correctly describes one organizational structure is option D because the purpose of the compare-and-contrast is to point out similarities and differences. Also, other options are incorrect because lists do not need to be arranged in a particular order, cause-and-effect does not identify a problem and problem-solution does not describe the results of an event.

evaluate both sucess and failures of each of the three types of organisations

faith based organisatin
local sports assocation

paRENTS TEACHER ASSOCAITION

Answers

Faith-based organization:

One of the most important successes of faith-based organizations is the fact that they tend to focus heavily on those who are least fortunate in a society. These organizations tend to focus on charity work and poverty relief, which brings a lot of value to all communities.

On the other hand, these organizations can sometimes be exclusionary, as people who belong to a different religion or who practice no faith at all might not be accepted, or if accepted, might not feel welcome. This can be considered a failure of such an organization.

Local sports association:

An advantage of such an organization is that it encourages people to be more active and to be part of a team. Both of these activities are in decline in modern societies. Therefore, local sports associations serve a very important purpose.

On the other hand, a failure of such an association is that sports generally have little impact when it comes to social change, and it is likely that the people in these groups would not be able to create much of a change in their community at large when it comes to topics other than sports.

Parent-teacher association:

An important success of such organizations is that they bring parents and teachers together. As these are the most important people in the lives of children, this can bring great benefits to their lives.

However, a failure of these organizations would be that parents and teachers operate in completely separate spheres, and this might make it difficult for them to agree on the best strategy to adopt when it comes to children.

What is a Sentence?

The biggest linguistic unit is a phrase. It starts with a capital letter in English and concludes with either a full stop, a question mark, or an exclamation point.

Generally speaking, a sentence is described as a word or set of words that convey a comprehensive notion by making a declaration or providing an order, asking a question, or proclaiming.

He is a good boy, like in the statement, Is he a decent guy? What beautiful weather, (question)! (exclaiming). A sentence should ideally have at least one subject and one verb. Although a sentence's subject may occasionally be obscured, the verb must always be clear and evident. The verb is referred to as the sentence's heart.

Simple sentence: A simple sentence must only have a single independent clause (a verb), and it cannot include any other clauses. Compound sentences must have many independent clauses without any dependent clauses. To connect these clauses, some particular conjunctions, punctuation, or both are utilized.

In my opinion, the correct answer is A. Gulliver is educated in sailing. The setting means context, time and place. Which best explains what the Prince's lead heart symbolizes?

(A) a greedy and cold-hearted life
(B) an honest and giving spirit
(C) a heartless world of ruthless ambition
(D) the pointlessness of giving to others

Answers

D I believe is the correct answer. I hope this helped u

The Prince's lead heart best symbolizes a 'heartless world of ruthless ambition' (C), where moral values are predicated on power and respect for strength, rather than the compassionate virtues of a 'warm heart.'

The Prince's lead heart symbolizes a view of morality associated with power and nobility, prevalent in a society which respects strength and devalues weakness. Within this moral framework, the heart is not swayed by sympathy or altruism, which are seen as virtues of a different morality—one that esteems selflessness and kindness. Instead, the lead heart represents a sternness and an indifference to those of lower status or outside one's equal societal circle. It embodies the concept that one may act according to one's own desires, 'beyond good and evil,' with duties only to one's equals and a certain disregard for others.

In light of the provided references, the Prince's lead heart is best explained by option (C), a 'heartless world of ruthless ambition,' where moral values are decided by power and status, and sympathy for the lower ranks or outsiders is not a considered virtue. It denotes a societal structure that values strength, power, and strategic reciprocity within its own echelons above the 'warm heart' of altruism.

Both Seagulls and wild geese are large birds. They're also similar in that both kinds of birds can fly over great distances. On the other hand, seagulls are scavengers, while wild geese aren't. Seagulls, for example, are often found around garbage dumps. Geese, however, feed on things like seeds and insects. Another important difference between the two kinds of birds is that geese fly on long annual migrations of well over 1,000 miles. Seagulls will migrate far inland to search for food. However, they don't follow seasonal patterns of migration like wild geese. Clue words showing that contrasts are being made in this paragraph include A. also and hand. B. and and similar.
