(A) no one would actually be interned in camps.
(B) he was doing what was best for his nation.
(C) his direction and command would end the war.
(D) the internment camps would be permanent.

Answers

Answer:

Its B just got it right on EDGE

Explanation:

Final answer:

President Roosevelt likely signed Executive Order No. 9066 believing it was what was best for national security during a time of war. The order led to the internment of Japanese, German, and Italian Americans during World War II and was not meant to be a permanent solution.

Explanation:

By signing Executive Order No. 9066, President Franklin D. Roosevelt likely believed that he was doing what was best for his nation (B). This action, taken during World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor, authorized the Secretary of War to prescribe certain areas as military zones, leading to the internment of Japanese Americans, as well as some German and Italian Americans. The order was based on the assumption that some individuals of Japanese descent might pose a threat to national security, despite the lack of evidence to support such broad-sweeping measures.

The internment camps were a response to wartime fear and not intended to be permanent (D); rather, they were seen as a necessary measure in a time of national crisis. The notions that no one would actually be interned (A) or that this action would end the war (C) are less likely to have been central to Roosevelt's decision-making process regarding this executive order.

What is the meaning of the root word “phil?”

Answers

comes from the word "philia" meaning love or affection in greek

Final answer:

The root word “phil” signifies love or affection in Greek, as seen in the word philosophy, which means love of wisdom. It is a fundamental component in terms such as philosopher and epistemology, shaping our understanding of the natural pursuit of knowledge and truth.

Explanation:

The root word “phil” comes from the Greek word philia, which means love or affection. This root is found in many English words, such as philosophy, which literally translates to “love of wisdom”. The ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras is credited with coining the term philosophy which represents the study of general and fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.

Philosophers throughout history have been driven by a sense of wonder and the quest for understanding, much like the wonder and inquiry seen in children. Furthermore, the intertwining of different cultural philosophies, like the blending of Greek and Jewish thought by Philo of Alexandria, showcases the universal nature of the pursuit of wisdom and the application of Greek philosophical methods such as questioning, critical discussion, rational argument, and systematic presentation to various fields of study and cultural norms.

Famous philosophies like epistemology examines the nature and scope of knowledge and understanding. By using the root “phil,” we can explore these concepts more deeply and appreciate the foundational love for wisdom that underpins much of philosophical thought.

how to prove tan z is analytic using cauchy-riemann conditions ...?

Answers

The Cauchy-Reimann Conditions require that for a complex function to be analytic, then it must agree to the following equations
du/dx = dv/dy
du/dy = -dv/dx

The derivatives here are partial derivatives. The functions u and v are the real and imaginary parts of the complex function. First, we need to determine the real and imaginary parts of the complex function tan z.

Let z = x + yi.
tan z = tan (x + yi)
      = (tan x + tan yi) / (1 - tan x tan yi)
Since tan yi = i tanh y,
tan z = (tan x + i tanh y) / (1 - i tan x tanh y)

Continuing, you can now represent tan z as
tan z = u(x, y) + i v(x, y).

You can now continue checking the equations.

What is Brian Griffin's House of Pain?

Answers

it is season 8 episode 15 of family guy.

hope this helps you

The term 'Brian Griffin's House of Pain' does not appear in the given excerpts from H.G. Wells's 'The Island of Doctor Moreau,' where the 'House of Pain' refers to a laboratory where animals are surgically humanized.

The phrase Brian Griffin's House of Pain is not referenced in the excerpts provided, suggesting it could possibly be a confusion with another text or a conceptual mix-up. The passages you've shared are from H.G. Wells's classic science fiction novel, The Island of Doctor Moreau, wherein the 'House of Pain' is a central motif. In the novel, the 'House of Pain' is the place where Dr. Moreau, a vivisector, operates on animals to humanize them in painful procedures, both physically and psychologically transforming them.

The repeated line, 'Back to the House of Pain,' reflects the dread and the disturbing reality the creatures face. The chant highlights Moreau's god-like figure to the creatures he has created, implicating a blend of fear, reverence, and identity crisis as they strive to adhere to the Law by suppressing their animalistic tendencies to maintain a semblance of humanity.

The narrative from the perspective of the protagonist expresses the nightmarish quality of his encounters with Moreau's creations, underscoring themes of identity, cruelty, and the nature of humanity.

How does gandi show that the methods of satyagraha could succeed in changing a country's unjust laws where violence could not?

Gandhi demonstrated the way that the methods for satyagraha could prevail with regards to changing a country's violent regulations where viciousness couldn't by exhibiting the ethical force of peaceful obstruction.

He drove mass developments of individuals to challenge crooked regulations, for example, the salt assessment and the isolation of Indians in South Africa calmly. By declining to help out the specialists and by enduring the side-effects of their suppression, Gandhi and his devotees had the option to come down on the public authority to change its arrangements.

For instance, in the Salt Walk of 1930, Gandhi drove great many Indians on a 240-mile walk to the ocean to make their own salt, in rebellion of the English salt imposing business model.

The walk was a colossal achievement, drawing in overall consideration and exciting help for the Indian freedom development. The English government was at last compelled to cancel the salt duty.

Gandhi's strategies for satyagraha depended on the standards of truth, peacefulness, and benevolence. He accepted that these standards were more remarkable than viciousness over the long haul. He likewise accepted that satyagraha could be utilized to change people and society in general.

Gandhi's strategies have been involved by different developments for social change all over the planet, including the American social equality development and the counter politically-sanctioned racial segregation development in South Africa. Satyagraha has shown that accomplishing social and political change through peaceful means, even despite oppression is conceivable.

Here are a few explicit instances of how Gandhi's techniques for satyagraha prevailed with regards to changing treacherous regulations:

The Champaran Satyagraha of 1917 constrained the English government to work on the functioning states of indigo ranchers in Bihar. The Kheda Satyagraha of 1918 constrained the English government to suspend the assortment of land income in Kheda region, Gujarat, because of a yield disappointment. The Non-Collaboration Development of 1920-22 constrained the English government to make concessions, like delivering political detainees and permitting Indians to stand firm on government situations. The Salt Walk of 1930 constrained the English government to annul the salt expense. The Quit India Development of 1942 prompted the autonomy of India in 1947.

Read the following passage and answer the question that follows.

Tom Stoppard's play, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, draws on two previous theatrical works: Shakespeare's Hamlet and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead follows the "off-stage" exploits of two minor characters from Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. While the two main characters in Stoppard's play occasionally make brief appearances in "Hamlet," as scripted in Shakespeare's original tragedy, the majority of the play takes place in other parts of the castle where Hamlet is set. While "off stage" in this way, the characters resemble the main characters in the absurdist Waiting for Godot. As in Beckett's play, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern pass the time by impersonating other characters, engaging in word play, and remaining silent for long periods of time. These same two characters were also featured in a parody of Hamlet, the short comic play by W. S. Gilbert entitled Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Gilbert's play makes Rosencrantz and Guildenstern into central characters and alters the storyline of Hamlet.
