Explanation:

Many Parents set up rules, and other boundaries in which their teens

must follow. These rules are usually placed over their teens to control,

protect, and teach their teen. Even though most parents mean well, and some

rules are necessary it's easy to overwhelm teens with regulations.

First of all teens are not going to follow all of the rules, and

secondly there are some things that certain teens will not do with, or without

a specific rule on that subject. For example, there are many teens who would

never use drugs, but by placing a rule on this, the teen might not feel trust

worthy, and might be more likely to try drugs. This is not always the case

though, some teens need every rule stated, or they might test your patients.

Parents should remember that they know heir teenager best, and they need to set

rules according to their own teen.

Drugs and other illegal things are often a problem with certain teens,

but some teens will never try drugs. Teenagers will turn to drugs for answers

to problems. To avoid having problems with your teen, spend time with them and

talk to them. In dealing with a teen who has taken illegal drugs, you as a

parent need to try to understand why you teen has committed the crime. Only

when you understand the child, then you can give the appropriate punishment.

Another important factor in discipline is to make sure that the teen

understands why what they have done is wrong, and show them scripture to explain

it. If a child does not know why what they have done is bad, they will likely

do it again.

A parent needs to make sure that their rules do not contradict each

other. It is easy to restrict one bad influence, and not another. Many

parents feel that they need to whom their teen hangs out with because of their

friends' language, and general behavior. This is often the wise thing to do,

but if you restrict this, but still allow your teen to curse or watch improper

movies, and TV the restriction of certain friends will just confuse your teen.

Curfews are often needed to prevent teens from getting into trouble late

at night. A curfew should slightly vary depending on where the teen are, what

they are doing, what they are planning for the following morning, and who they

are with. If your teen is with responsible adults whom you know , a curfew

should depend upon plans for the following morning if there are any. When your

teen is with his friends a curfew should depend upon how trustworthy your teen

is. If your teen has broken curfew rules in the past, then an earlier than

usual curfew would be reasonable, but if your teen does not have a bad record

and if they are trustworthy they should be given more freedom, and take their

opinions into context when giving a curfew. Some well-behaved teens can be

given almost full responsibility when comes to curfews. Curfews are usually

most necessary for dating. Parents cannot always give their teen permission to

stay out all night on a date. Teens can get into too much trouble when on a

date late at night especially if they have a car. It is best for a parent to

make wise decisions based on each individual teen. When a teenager takes a car

the teen should have a responsibility to take care of the car, and respect

other drivers. Some parents find it effective to require their teen to help pay

for gas, plus insurance, or buy their own car, and pay for it themselves. This

way the teen feels a sense of ownership, and is more responsible for what is

theirs.

Teens often spend many hours on the telephone. I used to spend a lot of

time on the phone. One solution to this problem is to get a separate telephone

line for the teens in your house, or at least a separate telephone line for the

computer.

When setting up rules and regulations the best things to do are make

sure your teen understands the reasons for the rule, remember to follow God's

standards when making rules, and be fair. Proverbs 24:3,4 Through wisdom a

house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms

are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.

The group leader insists that everyone come to an agreement in the next five minutes.

The group leader asks those who have not participated whether they have anything to add to the discussion.

The group leader shouldn't insist that everyone should come to a single agreement. Which of the following correctly explains the pun in this sentence and the word or words on which it is built?
Given the boot—A shoemaker would work on boots
Shoemaker's assistant—Shoes are made mainly by helpers
Discovered stealing—Discovery and stealing both are secretive
Stealing leather—Leather and steel are both used to make shoes

Answers

The correct answer is A. Given the boot—A shoemaker would work on boots

Explanation:

A pun refers to a humoristic, concise phrase or sentence that is created based on a word that has multiple meanings, words that sound similar or words that are closely related to others. In the case of the sentence "The shoemaker's assistant was given the boot when he was discovered stealing leather" the use of the word "boot" creates a pun because in this case the word "boot" means being fired but it is also a type of shoes which is ironic because the shoemaker's assistant probably worked with boots. This implies, the sentence that explains this pun is "Given the boot—A shoemaker would work on boots".

is the flawed hero an archetype

Answers

Answer:

Yes, I'm pretty sure

Explanation:

Final answer:

Yes, the flawed hero is an archetype commonly known as a tragic hero, which includes characters like Creon and Hamlet, who embody virtues but also possess a critical flaw leading to their demise.

Explanation:

The flawed hero is indeed an archetype in literature. This archetype, often referred to as the tragic hero, originated in ancient Greek drama. According to Aristotle's definition in his work Poetics, a tragic hero embodies nobility and virtue but is marred by a personal flaw, or hamartia, which ultimately leads to their downfall. Common features associated with this archetype include a reversal of fortune (peripeteia), a moment of realization or enlightenment (anagnorisis), and the ensuing emotional purging for the audience (catharsis). Examples of tragic heroes in literature are Sophocles' Creon from Antigone and Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Archetypes themselves are not limited to characters; they can be narratives or objects that serve as original patterns in storytelling. The flawed hero is just one of the many character archetypes that have been used throughout the history of storytelling. Other examples of archetypes include the trickster figure and the femme fatale, as well as narrative-based archetypes like the journey home or object-based archetypes such as the forbidden fruit.

The question most likely to be answered by the exposition of a story is when and where the story takes place, as the exposition introduces the setting.

The exposition of a story is designed to introduce the setting, the main characters, and often hints at the conflict and themes that will develop throughout the narrative. Based on this understanding, the question most likely to be answered by reading the exposition of a story is B. When and where does this story take place? This question addresses the setting, which is a fundamental aspect of the exposition. The other options pertain to elements that are usually not fully revealed in the exposition: the central conflict is often only hinted at, the effect of the conclusion on the theme is part of the resolution, and the author's birth date is not relevant to the story's exposition.

If brainstorming only gives you the start of an idea, one effective method to broaden it is to expand on the idea by researching it. Research can provide a deeper understanding of the topic, introduce new angles, and support your original ideas with additional evidence. This approach can help you discover aspects you might not have considered initially and can enrich the overall concept you began with. Digging deeper into the subject matter can spark new ideas that enhance and refine the initial brainstorm, making your project or essay more comprehensive and insightful.

B) Expand on the idea by researching it.

List all the ideas related to your topic without censoring, creating a broad range of possibilities for expansion.

Consider using brainstorming techniques such as listing, freewriting, and asking probing questions about the topic.

Remember, the goal of brainstorming is to generate a wide array of ideas, and supplementary research further extends these ideas into a more substantive argument or project. As you research, you might find it useful to list your findings and see how they align with or supplement your initial brainstorming session. This iterative process can lead to a more nuanced and detailed understanding of your subject.

What is the main theme of the movie spirited away?

Answers

Answer: Loneliness and identity

Explanation: Straight from the beginning, Chihiro is unhappy because she's left her classmates behind. Then her parents were irresponsibility, and fail drastically in their position as parents, ditched her to fend for herself.

The main theme of 'Spirited Away' is identity, emphasizing the importance of maintaining one's sense of self, as demonstrated through Chihiro's transformation. The film also explores human communication and the cultural richness of traditional Japanese settings, deeply resonating with themes of self-discovery.

Main Theme of Spirited Away

The main theme of the movie Spirited Away is identity. Throughout Chihiro's journey, she faces challenges that push her beyond her fears, transforming from a sheltered child into a capable and determined young woman. A pivotal aspect of the film is the significance of names, which symbolize one's sense of self and autonomy, as seen when Yubaba steals names to bind characters to the spirit world. The film illustrates that maintaining one's identity is crucial to freedom and growth.

Another central theme is human communication and the connection, or lack thereof, between individuals. Chihiro's relationship with her parents is characterized by a lack of understanding and communication, setting the stage for her development throughout the film. The cultural richness and traditional Japanese settings of the film also contribute to its magic and symbolism.

The themes of Spirited Away resonate with experiences of self-discovery, much like other cinematic journeys such as Alice in Wonderland. These themes connect deeply with audiences, particularly college students who are navigating their own paths and forming their identities in the face of life's adversities.
